Subject: How do we build a Pro Division?

It seems to me that another current conversation is about how do we build a pro division...right!
Well one way is to have a requirement that if you make pro, compete as pro, then you need to at least compete once in 2 years to keep pro status. Now some are questioning if this is a fair rule? Ya!
Does an organization want people to make pro, stay away for 2 years (no income) then come back as a decorated athlete (Pro). Of course not.
You also want a Pro class that is ...well Pro! In shape, sharp in posing and presentation, and a role model to aspiring amateurs. Everyone must agree, the more stage time, the better you are, inclusive of any Pro.
I believe all organizations have some requirement of this type. I am checking on that.
Now having said that, I am not sold on the fact that if you qualify for a pro card (win an overall or division in super qualifier) that you need to live under this two year rule. The step to Pro is HUGE from amateur. If an athlete decides to take more than two years off to make what he/she feels are necessary improvements, then have at it! Who is any President to tell you, hey.. you got two years to step up, if not back you go! Dont agree with that.
