- hormone "replacement" -- Survivor, 16:19:47 07/21/09 Tue [6]
I have a question about your organization's drug policy. I had testicular cancer 10 years ago. I now take Androgel under my urologist's supervision to maintain a "normal" testosterone level and a normal sex life. Does your organization allow the use of this drug for medical use? Would I be allowed to compete if I provided the meet sponsor with lab reports indicating that my testosterone level is in the "normal" range? Hope you can clarify.

- How low do you go? -- TRogers, 08:04:17 07/12/09 Sun [7]
When you guys cut up for a show, how low do you go with calories (at your lowest point) and for how long?
And if you stall on your diet, what do you do, 1) Raise calories, 2) add cardio, 3) lower calories, 4) raise carbs/lower protein?
I really want to be ready for the Nov 7, and I make good progress on a diet for 6 weeks at a time, but I stall out. I'm just a rookie looking for some quick (Correct) advice. Thx.

What is your opinion on Pro status? I won the overall USBF NEPA in October of 2007. In 2008 I was getting ready for the Plattzburg Pro, when I got injured. I had surgery months after the injury, therefore putting me way back. Just now I able to start training semi hard again and should be able for the stage early in 2010. I spoke with Mr. Washington and he explained I had to compete by October of 2009 to keep my status. Now I no I will not be 100%, what do you think I should do? Thanks in advanced

- How are we suppose to build up apro class -- halzman, 07:33:34 06/21/09 Sun [15]
Certain individuals seem to choose hanging out in the amatuer division winning overalls. Is this right?Yes & no.I understand if the show has 35 competitors.Maybe he feels that it wasnt a good test.Well after YOU WIN OVERALL 6 times it's time to step up to the pros.I know a individual who won his class at a super pro qualifier & competes with the pros.He only weighs 140.Peeps complain that these pro lin-ups are small.Well we need to have some sort of rule to this.Another indivdual won overall at Bloomsburg show two yesr ago.He competed at two pro shows. Now he is doing amatuer again.he won overall.Of course he would. He already proved he is pro ready. We know these guys are pro ready. We as judges gave them the nod.WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?
EGO??
What kind of rule can be implimented?Or should we continue on doing this?

- Levrone Report -- Ron Parmeter, 11:05:22 06/22/09 Mon [1]
Just wondering if anyone is following the Levrone Report. Kevin Levrone is documenting his transformation after (what he says) is 4 years off from the gym. He is now in his 40's and is much smaller that his competition days. He says he's not using any anabolics or growth hormone and has recently added supplementation in week 5 of his transformation. With all the gimmicks we've all been witness to, I think this guy could pull off this type of transformation. The changes he has made in 4 weeks are pretty drastic.
It is obvious that he is genetically blessed and has tons of muscle memory. Back in the 90's he use to GAIN 30 pounds of muscle in 4 months to compete in the Olympia and then take months off from the gym and walk around off season at 215..He was definetly using performance enhancing drugs at this time but was still unreal how much his physique changed in such a short period of time. Should be interesting to see how his transformation turns out this time.
Check it out at levrone.com

New and Fun Lifts! -- Damien DeDonatis, 20:19:27 06/17/09 Wed [3]
Ever get tired of the same old routine. Well here is a couple of pointers in regards to getting a great back. Recently, I have been implementing a different way to do a pull up. After doing basic pull ups for many years, I decided to simply try something new. Ok, so here is the scoop, stand in the middle of the pull up bar (duh) raise your hands and place shoulder with apart (duh) here is the kicker, depending on your flexabaility pull upward and rotate your legs so there in back of you, yes you are upside down with your legs facing behind you. I suggest a spotter for the next step. Literally with your legs facing the opposite way and your grip locked, begin to pull up. When done correctly you STRETCH out the posterior and anterior deltoid while putting specific emphasis on your core as well as your erecter spinae muscles. This movement does in fact increase flexabality but is extremely dangerous if performed without a spotter. I have many more exotic lifts but lets see how this goes. Good luck. Also if anyone is interested I am starting to help many Boduybuilders in my area put together routines for upcoming competitions, so if anyone is in need of a good routine look me up I would love to help.
Rock and Roll,
Damien

I ran into the promoter of the INBA Eastern USA Bodybuilding/Figure Champs. to be held Oct 3rd,2009 in East Rochester NY. He told me that its a Amateur and PRO show.
Pro Qualifier for amateurs and heres the exceiting part:
its a PRO MENS,PRO FIGURE & PRO MASTERS..all at one show..crazy...(Altho i dont think ? Pro men can cross over into Pro master) The poster on the INBA website mentions $3500.00 in cash/prizes yeah baby..I thought some of the USBF pros..Mike, King Kent..Steve P. might want some of this..The promoter said its open to all pros from drug free organizations. I was impressed to learn that part of the proceeds will be going to the Rochester Police Off. Anthony Deponzio Recovery Fund. Officer Deponzio was shot while on duty (in the head/brain)& Badge of Honor Assoc. They give money to injured cops families. Very rightous..Also a special B.Building class for 1st responders, cops, fire fighters, amb.,military..Also a seperate bench press contest..Hot line # 585-752-6398 email for the promoter: EasternUSA@mail.com..Next time I see him (Ben Candeloro) at the gym Ill pass on any new info if you peeps are interested. Should fit in nicely with the Nov 7th. NY State Natural Shiow. I plan on doing this show (gotta help the cop) and Mikes show in Nov....Later..

We are running a show at the Whitesboro high School (35 min east of Syracuse) on Sat. Oct. 24. It will be OCB. We havent had a show in a couple of years since Kunkel ran the North Americans. I am hoping to bring back quality drug-free bodybuiding to the Mohawk Valley. Mike has been helping me get this show going. We hope to be a great start for the fall line-up. Halz is running the NYS IX 2 weeks later in Syracuse. 10/24 might be a great tune up for Syracuse! I have posters, if any one can help us post them, e-mail me at kingh2o@hotmail.com and I will mail them out. Apps will be ready soon!
