I could go on about this forever, so I will try to make it as short as possible. I was at the debut of the NPC's bikini division at the Arnold a few weeks ago. It was quite interesting to see the differences in the physiques of the girls on stage. There were two classes, short and tall. The girl that won the tall class, in my opinion, had the idealistic physique for this division. Unfortunately she lost in the overall. She looked like Rihanna, with the short hair, she was beautiful, six pack, nice rounded shoulders, no outstanding definition. She looked amazing. The girl that won the overall had no color on, no muscle, she had the girl next door look...which is apparently what the NPC is looking for in this division. I still think Rihanna should have won, but that is my opinion. I agree with whoever wrote this post that you are in a 'body building' competition and you should have muscle. The NPC wants the girls softer..in all the divisions..including figure. The call outs were inconsistent in figure...i think there is alot of confusion in what they want the girls to look like in figure right now and adding bikini into the mix exacerbated everything. I think the figure girls are wayyy tooo soft, they had no shoulders, barely any muscle. They were tiny. I think bikini is interesting to watch, but in my opinion the girls should have more muscle..because you still are competing in a bodybuilding show..but the look that they are going for in a girl who walked right off the beach, is a suit off the rack with the girl next door look (according to one of the judges)..bikini is supposed to epitomize the athletic girl who just walked off the beach...
