Subject: Miss Dorothy Lawrence

I am trying to find out how to research an actress named Miss Dorothy Lawrence, or Miss Dorothy A. Lawrence, who I have found mentioned in the Times and Scotsman online as below. I am trying to establish whether she is the same person who wrote a book “Sapper Dorothy Lawrence” describing her attempt to get into the trenches in 1915.
I am wondering whether there were directories of actors and whether they contained photographs. I would be very grateful for whatever lines you can suggest.
