I have warts as well. A biopsy is a great thing. Most doctors will do that just to make sure they aren't missing something. You under care and that is what is important. Please keep us updated on your results and we are here for any and all support you need. Another great site for warts is www.hpvsupport.com

Thanks guys! I can't decide if I'm more afraid of the procedure or the possible outcome. (Outcome, I'm sure). This has completely caught me off guard. I've never so much as even had a yeast infection (I know that's not related).

I do have someone that has volunteered to go with me. Not sure if I'm going to take him up on that offer or not. I live about 30 minutes from where they are going to do it, so I think I probably will.

When my daughter was born, I was cut in two places - 3 stitches in one place, two in the other. I just keep telling myself that the biopsy will not be any worse than an episiotomy. But, if it is, I want to know beforehand. So, don't spare any details. I'd rather know up front than be surprised at the end.

They will numb you before hand. That part stings a little, and then after take a couple of Tylenol and you will be fine... :)

I have had a couple of vulva shave biopsies and the Novocain pretty much takes care of the immediate pain.

I had an Episiotomy so I can relate here also.

I think each person experience is going to be different, but I don't think the procedure will be horrible...not great but not horrible.

Plan on something�s afterward...ask your doc when you can soak in a bath...baking soda does wonders for an irritated area. Get some pure aloe vera with lodicane.

Also as an added precaution see if your doc will give you a prescription for Lidocane..5% gel...this can be a life saver...if urine gets on the area...this can cause irritation....use a squirt bottle to dilute the urine as your urinate.

Our girls have lots of idea...I hope you will join us at our on line support group.

Remember to ask for a copy of your pathology repot. It is good to keep these on file.
