Oh my gosh-I cant believe it I just had a radiacal vulvectomy on Aud 7th. I feel exactly the same way-alone in this. I am here for you all and hope we can chat. My surgery was brutal. Stiches in places I never considered. Mostly though I feel depressed and tired. I am only now able to actually sit for a short time. I can't really concentrate on much. It's just very lonely and scarry.
Unfortunately bad and aggresive cells are in one of the margins and as soon as I heal a bit more I'll have to have another biopsy. Please write back and tell me how you are all dealing with this so far-we are walking in each others shoes right now and I could sure use people like myself to just share our expieriences right now. My e-mail is ms.dd1@verizon.net and I'll be checking in -If I can help in any way please let me-I'm not used to being the person whos sick and needs help. I am a Healthcare Professional and I could'nt get ANYONE to tell me really what to expect

Hi Deb, So sorry for your pain. It still amazes me that most women don't know what the vulva is let alone our condition. The few people I've tried to talk to, family included don't want to know. I love my brother but he can't (actually won't) listen. The ladies here do. I had a partial vulvectomy and it really was a trumatic experience. It does get better tho. I watched a lot of tv. Also I spent a lot of time at gyn-gals. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Paula
