here's another great trick I learned along the way. Tea bags. I brew a bunch before surgery, keep them moist in baggie in fridge. They not only feel nice and cool but there is something in the tea itself that soothes the swelling and pain.
Sitz baths are also a real relief (add a little hydrogen peroxide)
By the way - Hi all - new to the group. I am headed into my 6th laser surgery. Doc says all 3 areas she (yes she!!) biopsied are positive and they will have to put me under again this time because there are fairly large areas.
As I said 6th time. So by now I am more ticked than scared. But what's a woman to do? And yes I have an awesome female oncologist. She understands.

So glad I found this group. My surgery will be early January. I may need a place to bear my soul while I recoup.
