I find it sad that 'someone' had to make up information about the group to stir up interest about the group, whatever happened to telling the truth? the Beatles did, and look where they got!
Personally, I enjoyed the DC5 for its "unique sound" from all the other groups that were emerging. I bought the sound, not the hype.
When I saw them twice in concert, it was for the music.

Remember this country had just experienced a major tragedy with the assassination of the President, the British invasion was a bit of fresh air, the artist brought new life into the then, boring American music scene.

Seeing Dave drum, encouraged me to get a set of drums and I'm sure others to get instruments also. It was a fun time to be young, and just enjoy life, and new music.
