Is it still possible to compete in most American (new england area) competitions if I am already 20 years old and still have never competed? (I danced on and off for 3 years)
Also: anyone know of any good schools in the Ithaca/Syracuse/Binghamton/Rochester NY area?? (i'm willing to drive quite a bit)
thanks!

great new teacher in Syracuse area -- Tina, 16:03:41 04/05/02 Fri
Meredith, you mentioned looking for an irish dance teacher in the upstate NY area. Well a *wonderful* new teacher named Maureen Mahoney is there, somewhere outside of Syracuse I believe. Not totally sure of what TOWN she is in, but have danced with her for quite a while. She is fun, energetic, and VERY VERY encouraging and upbeat and empowering as a teacher. None of that defensive, self-protective attitude that is so common in the oh-so-competitive world of irish dance teachers. Get her at mauree315@aol.com.
There is no maximum age, keep dancing till you drop!!

I recommend Broeseler if thats good for you. They're pretty widespread but I'm not sure if they teach adults.
