Subject: Boy friends & Dancing don't mix

Hi all,
I do Irish dancing and my boy friend hates it he says if i don't quite he will dump me what shall I do?

if he doesn't respect what you do then he's not worth dating. That's childish and pathetic behaviour, I dated someone who would come to every feis with me and was really supportive and encouraging! Guys usually love irish dancing they actually think its sexy! All those girls with big curly hair and their skirts flip up! whoo-hoo.

what a shame..if he loves you he should support you in what you do...irish dancing is wonderful..it gives you great exercise and a sense of accomplishment..never give up your dreams and aspirations for anyone...

I think you should dump him! sounds dumb. danceing and boys DO mix. I have had boyfriends while in dance. They just have to get used to coming to my shows and hanging out w/ my dance friends. So just find yourself another guy who can handle you dancing lifestyle. there are plenty out there.

Obviously, I'm going to support what the other girls have said: dump this chump. I know you may like him a lot, but if he's not cool enough to realize that you dancing has nothing to do with him, he's not worth sticking around. I actually brought my boyfriend into dancing...he's getting pretty good at it, hehe.
