There's a back alley place called the Rendezvous that serves excellent ribs and b-b-q (Memphis style), but
most fascinating of all they have a extremely large
collection of period (pick a period in American History
kids) firearms in cases along one wall.
What do B-B-Q and weapons have in common? Not a clue,
maybe it's a Memphis & the Civil War thing, except that
there are a large number of post war Civil War arms too.
Everything from .69 flintlocks to trapdoor Springfields and all kinds of imported Eurpoean pumpkin slinger class
weapons. A brass housing Winchester too.
Quite neat.
There's also a park called Confederate Park with various
artillery pieces (let's see, a couple of 90mm AT guns, a couple of 57mm AT guns and an old 105mm cannon. The Confederates "wish" I'm sure....).
No "Union" park so don't bother to look, but there is
a Union street and some pretty good places to eat there-on.
