I sent this via email already via the website but thought I'd post it here too.
Could let me know whether there is still to be a film adaptation of the novel please?

I love the complexity of the novel: so much so that I have been studying it for my MA by Research in English using Jungian Literary Theory and Jung's ideas on the 'other'. It would be interesting to see how the book is adapted to film. I could not get to see the dance performance as I do not think it came to London.

Many thanks.

There isn't a film adaptation... yet.

Thanks for your message. I'd heard that a film adaptation was to be made with Jamie Bell playing the lead - presumably Jim Mack - but just wondered whether it was actually going to happen; especially as film finance can be very difficult to attain.

Really hope so - as long as it doesn't spoil the brilliance of the book!

Ooh I hadn't heard that rumour. I think he would suit the part really well.
Theres a previous thread (one of the ones with lots of replies I think) in which Jamie mentions film talks.

I'll have to back track to find Jamie's comments on the film. I'm new to the forum - as you probably guessed - so still have to go through previous messages - when I get time!
