Unreal. You are so gifted, and I don't say that lightly either.
I know you know , but do you really know how timeless your solo was to Sharona? I put it up there with Stairway To heaven/page, Hotel Califoria/walsh/felder.
Imagine that, you are someones hero now too. Your/Dougs/knacks songs were right there with me as they were with many fans, during its release, I was in Grade 10 (dating myself and so 'jeez..I am going to get old sooner than later ). The music is like a snapshot, remembering my first girl, as important , integral to the moment as much as everything else was. Life is often ordinary for everyone, no matter how 'famous' or not so. You have left an imprint on my life as much as anything has and as much a part of it in 'way' like colors to a rainbow. Your contribution to my life is a very valid and emotional one. So while I say Thankyou often, for one last time, in the most poingant way I can, again, .."Thankyou".
Now, enough of that..
I'll also have you know that I purchased my vox AC30 Handwired edition combo, with you in mind. Funny how I can't sound anything like you. It's in the fingers.
Also, just ordered and I will receive on monday, a CS 59 monster top Historic. You guessed it, that's you also.
I tired a ricky 12/360. No thankyou, have you ever tried to play that skinny neck? No wonder you need 12 strings on it, it just doubles your change to get most of the chord on that neck. Should have gotten the 600 serious. Wider neck. Such is life.
I have a 'cunetto' fender strat. Bet you dont know what that is. *s* An SG I got for my daughter (thanks to avril ) She doesnt play that. Fender Fat strat for my son. Nope, he doesnt play that either. A tele I love, 52 reissue. Can't give you credit for that one though Berton (thanks Keith R.)
Well, anyway, did you ever as a younger man ever hope you could talk to your hero like this? Page? Clapton? To you, you look in the mirror and see someone you always see. To me, I see my hero and never thought he would say hello to me. Perspective I suppose. If you ever decide to let go of one of your guitars or, anything, think about me. *s*
So, with that, I will stop with the Yapping already. I'm happy you shared your time with me.
I wish you the best on your Musical Theatre..and..thanks again.
