I recently read a early history of Bob Seger posted on the internet and in it Doug makes a comment about how the Sky and Bob were playing at the Something Different in Southfield one winter night during a terrible snow storm. Doug said something like "there were only 6 people there but of course we still did the show". I just wanted to say that I was in that "crowd" that night and remember it well. It was an unsual opportunity to be able to sit up front and center for both their acts. Sky used to do a cover of an early Beatles song, I am pretty sure it was "Tell Me Why" and they did an outstanding job on it. Literally as good as the original. I can still hear that 12 string sweeping through the chords. It was one of my favorite songs that I remember hearing back in those early Detroit days. Sky doing that song and SRC doing "Blow Away Dandelion" by the Stones was as good as it gets. Peace.
