Gentlemen
I am currently writing a book, the provisional title of which forms the subject title of this message. The draft currently stands at 88 A4 pages and is growing at a considerable rate. It originally started as a list of abbreviations to assist me in keeping track of what the current Regiment was talking about in The Gunner! However, after a while I started adding various terms that kept cropping up. Since then I have decided to develop the theme, with the result that the book is rapidly turning into an encyclopedia of the Royal Regiment of Artillery. Interest has been generate in not only this country, but in Australia, Canada and New Zealand. I intend to include illustrations in the published article. I would be grateful if anyone could suggest additions to the book. I am particularly looking for terms related to Air Defence prior to the 1990's. Any help would be gratefully received, and please don't be put off by thinking I will know a term already, I have no Air Defence background, and frequently find that things I though I had included, aren't in fact there!
