] Date Posted:19:00:40 07/15/08 Tue Thank's to a good friend, Tommy Hearn, for hooking us up with this awesome 1967 El Camino. You all might remember it from when Danny Galeana owned it and ran it at our very first Boardwars races. Well, we are trying to get it back together this weekend for an upcoming RGVOLDCARS.com cruise, scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd, 2008. We have pretty much everything we need, but we are needing a more streetable Torque Convertor.
Now, we are not looking for a handsout or anything free. What we are looking for is parts location help. What we need is a stall convertor in the 2000-2500 stall range. The Elky came with a 3500 stall convertor, which is way to loose for what we want to do. If anyone has something laying around they want to sell, give me a call at 956-655-2835 or shoot me an e-mail. I'll keep you all updated on the project.
Now, I know you all see the Malibu Wagon in the background. Well, the good news on that is that we already took the engine in for machine work at Pan American Automotive. Domingo told me the basic work is done. We just need to go in and choose some rods and pistons for the rotating assembly. We will keep you all updated on that too.
Thanks!
Mark M

[> Subject: TH350/TH400's use the same type of torque convertor. Just look in Jeg's and Summit. It's the same part numbers for TH350/TH400 transmissions. Oh yeah, and ain't, ain't a word.

[> Subject:Found a torque convertor already. Thank's to Johnny from Rio Hondo, Tx. He needed a 3500 stall for his project. So we traded. Good deal. Thank's a bunch Johnny. We really appreciate it.
