Subject: Truth and Consequences


Many many years ago, when I was only 14, I had asked a question that if God is Sat –Truth; Chit- Consciousness; Ananda - Bliss, then why people suffer when they speak of TRUTH ?

I was told that there is a sloka in Mahabharata indicating that if you speak truth once, your family will leave you, if you speak truth twice, your friends will leave you and if you speak thrice, the world will leave you. So that is the nature of Samsara. ( Sorry, I do not have the reference number of the sloka)

Most people who have spoken the truth have personally been thru that kind of experience and there is no wonder that Durga Maa and D. Walter were practically ex-communicated by SRF. Those who are in power have intense desire to maintain the structure; certain ill-willed tactics are employed. It is nothing but Samsara. In essence, it is NOT any different than the vendetta war between Bush and Sadam. Power either spiritual, material, &/or political, is very intoxicating and exhilarating. It is all part of power maintenance. Naked truth always hurts. And we end up in believing what we want to believe – with a resultant endless bondage to the samsara.

Spiritual people can be very cruel. The Gurus think that they have to be angry with shishya to keep him/her in line. Spiritual and Ideological slavery is far more strong, intense, and denigarating than physical slavery. The war-mongers kill only body but the spiritual zealots - the so-called Gurus or preceptors or the mullahs, the priests, pandits, can kill the very spirit of a BEINGS by keeping the followers in that enclosed and enslaved in cocoon isolating them from the world and feeding the artificial sugar of bliss – be it any sadhana or even kriya frenzies.

“Take it what is the kriya or any sadhana worth and move on.” But do you think that works? For most people – the ancient and primitive tribal mentality is yet to be erased. Belonging to a group or spiritual outfit satisfies that primal need to be in some tribe. The addiction to such groupism or organization either big or small; either public or private groups, is so deep that it practically requires serious intervention like the alcoholics anonymous. But, we call it spirituality or the believers.
