When Lahiri Mahashay is speaking of this he is speaking of experiences out of his body.

First he speaks of leaving the body and there is the light of a thousand or million moons. There is another bindu that is seen at that point and merged into. He calls this the causal, if I recall correctly. He also uses the term void within the void.
