The blue haze and sparks of light are good signs. You may not be far off. With intense effort in kriya as advised you should be able to see it in a few years. As Ketch says, when you get kriya there is a side technique that is the most effective method to see the kutasta. You will be excited when you get it.

It took me 10 years to see it clearly. It was a big relief and helped my faith a lot. I had given up on it to be honest, and was skeptical.

To see the thing perfectly is said to be possible via the grace of the guru. It is he that opens your spiritual eye and awakens the kundalini also. It is he that introduces you to God as well. It is God's grace thru the guru that does this, and you become receptive with your devotional attunement. This is the law says Yogananda--both in the gita and the bible books. This devotion to God and attunement to the guru is the most important thing on the path say many masters. It's not just Yogananda.

Just to see it clearly is not enough. But you have to hold it still to penetrate it. To conquer it entirely Master says you have to be able to see it at will with open or closed eyes. This is what shows spiritual advancement. Then you can pass thru to cosmic consciousness easier.

Doctor Lewis used to will to see the spiritual eye in front of him as he walked down the street in Boston. He told John Rosser he would practice walking and seeing it at the same time. Supposedly it is 2 feet wide and about 2 feet in front of your forehead at a 45 degree angle. It blocks out the vision in that spot. Paulsen says the same thing and claims he can see it at will with open eyes also. This is how the wise men found Jesus. God talked to them thru the star and directed them to where Jesus was. There was no star in the sky! Read that in the new bible book by Yogananda.
