Casey, this is very coincidental. I, too have been thinking of this very thing for quite a while. I want to know if there are any genuine Gurus in the Himalayas. Perhaps they are secluded? I wanted to find a Kriya master and live an ashram life. If you are interested in perhaps a joint travel and search, please let me know.
