No he wouldn't mean that. I think he just means to get psyched up and intense for kriya and be serious. This fans the 3rd canter in itself. Then some lines do navi kriya which directly fans this fire. Arjuna is actually in the 3rd center also or symbolic of it.
It is easy to start kriya and daydream. Then the mind is not in the spine. This could be considered tamasic kriya and it has little benefit. If you are fired up this won't happen.
