Hinduism does not advocate celibacy. The priests marry people all the time. The woman wants a husband like Shiva (who is known for his love making)

Celibacy for some of the monastics sects may be the case.

But the difference between hinduism in India and hinduism in the US is that in India all this crazy meditation and celibacy is left to the "yogis" that leave society. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYONE WHO IS LIVING IN SOCIETY. The average Hindu performs puja NOT mediation as a spiritual practice.
