No she wasn't senile. I met Kamala shortly before she died. Although she appeared senile she was not. When I met her, most of the people I was with had left her room in the nursing home she was in. She held my hand and said, " What a beautiful woman, thank you sir!" We held hands for some time and there were very nice feelings.

After I left, I began to wonder why she had said what she said, and then it dawned on me- several days before I had looked at a book she had written, and as I saw her photo as a young woman, I thought, "What a beautiful woman".
