I thought it was Yogananda's view (and not just SRF's) that Jesus and Babaji are working together for the salvation of this age. And my impression has always been that those Masters are likely working though many people in this age, including, but certainly not exclusively, SRF.

I've often wondered about this. On the one hand, it's possible that Jesus was initiated into Kriya by Babaji (or someone) when he was in India. It's also possible that every great Master tunes inside, and understands how our salvation is acheived by going deep into the sushumna. From that understanding, a Master like Christ would know that a technique that works directly with that energy will speed up our salvation. I believe that's why there seem to be other techniques that are similar to Lahiri Mahasaya's Kriya- and that Christ could have practiced a Kriya-like technique that would *essentially* be the same as Kriya.

It's also quite possible that the way Kriya is taught evolves as human consciousness and the Yugas evolve. I would think that in the highest age, people would be practicing a technique that would be more subtle yet. I'm only speculating on this, but it's food for thought.

The crosses on the churches (which I admit to never noticing) may have been a societal thing. But to say that 'Jesus and Babaji are working together' is probably not something that would endear Yogananda to the Christians, so it's unlikely he would come up with that one just to appease the Christians!
