I agree. Just look at that word "clinical" stuck in front of the word "psychology." Psychologists basically have MD envy, they have imitated Psychiatry (they are now trying to get the authority to prescribe medication in the US) and medicalized disturbances of mood, thought and conduct.

I have worked with a number of psychologists. Individually they were decent human beings. But their behavior in and as a group demonstrates they are trying too hard to be something (i.e., medical doctors)they are not - they go overboard with an overemphasis on the scientific method and application of same where it doesn't belong, the nomenclature as noted above and many other examples, and the insistence on addrssing each other as "doctor."
