[> About Michael. Its just a sad day. Its been a long convoluted road for him, even though he was only 50. I keep keep thinking of the words of the song "I'll Be There". You and I must make a pact, we must bring salvation back, where there is love, I'll be there... His voice was so pure and perfect at that time, even now it almost makes me cry. I remember the first time I heard that song, where I was and how fantastically popular the Jackson Five were in the 70"s. Inside>>>> -- mkim, 18:41:21 06/25/09 Thu [1]

It seemed that after the group split up, everything in his life spun out of control, even though Michael's solo career was stellar. My best memories were of that time, when they were so young and there were so many possiblities.

[> [> There is a commercial with the song I'll Be There and my kids sing it all the time now. Very sad. I didnt particularly like him since no one really knew if he molested those kids but his passing is very sad for HIS kids and family i'm sure. -- Trish, 18:52:37 06/25/09 Thu [1]

[> Oh my goodness, what a shock about MJ. We all expected poor Farah would lose her fight with cancer, and she was so brave. But I'm shocked at MJ. I have always thought he was an amazing talent, but so badly exploited as a child. His life was a tragedy, and perhaps we'll never know the truth of what happened with the boys. All I know is that his talent was beyond what can be expected of someone so young. How very sad. -- Cece, 18:56:51 06/25/09 Thu [1]

[> [> I would love to get into that man's head and really see his path to what made him great and what made him odd. We saw his public life, what he did, what he was accused of, and what he chose to change his appearance to. But I don't believe the public has ever really known who he was. I'm shocked and saddened by his death. And that of Farrah Fawcett. She wanted to win that battle, and she lost it, that's always a crying shame! God rest them both. -- Theresa, 23:08:33 06/25/09 Thu [1]

[> [> [> I agree about wanting to know where all that talent came from and why he was so isolated and strange. It seems the more famous you are the less of a life you have. All superstars have their problems with the press, but I think there are those who take it in their stride and those you just handle it badly, altogether. About FARRAH, I never really followed Charlies Angels...but i loved her hair back then and I had the 'Farrah' hairdo in the 70's. I those she was fantasitc in the TV movie, "The Burning Bed" It was one of those movies that was so disturbngly great, that I'll never forget it. -- mkim, 23:51:27 06/25/09 Thu [1]

[> They say death comes in three's. First Ed McMahon, then Farrah, and now the big shocker with Michael. I loved the Jackon 5. Still do, in fact. They're music was so much fun. Michael had such talent, and it's a shame that his life was the way it was in recent years. I hope that his kids can get out of the shadow of all his problems and have normal lives now. -- JJ (Ronda)--And poor Farrah. I think she had a lot more talent than she was given credit for. Two talented people lost far too soon., 23:23:00 06/25/09 Thu [1]
