In reply to: BT 's message, "Impact Part 2 was fantastic. Alex was playing with his pen........ the way he turned to Maddie and held her hand while they sat on the bench made me smile.......reminiscent of our Harm and HAE. I guess the tenderness in Harm and Alex shows us the type of actor DJE is. I love the end when 'The President' sighed in relief when Alex et al saved the world. Somethings just stay the same, right - Webb??????" on 08:49:55 06/29/09 Mon

[> Spoilers wanted. So those of you who know me well know I hate surprises. I read the last chapter of books first. I started watching my recording of Impact today - and find that I can't stand it. Could someone please e-mail me and tell me who if anyone doesn't survive till the end of the second part? Thank you. -- Ann, 16:50:51 07/02/09 Thu [1]

Here's who died and didn't bother me -

I felt really badly for the kids when the grandpa died - but he was old and not very loveable.

I didn't care at all when the female astronaut slipped and well - you don't usually survive falling down a moon crater.

I was a bit miffed when Roland died at the end - it was nice of DJE to want to save him - and I wish they could have - ALthough I was never truly vested in the relationship with him and his slightly whiny fiancee/ wife - I still didn't want him to die.

And I think that's it.

You said female astronaut died. Would that be the blonde actress who was starring opposite DJE? Or are you talking about another female?

It was another character -- the one who plays opposite DJE stayed firmly on the ground while he, Roland, and two astronauts flew to the moon to save the Earth. It was the female astronaut who was killed. She was a minor character who didn't get a lot of airtime, as I recall.
