1) play dates - bring in some friends and send one or two out to friends'. Kids seem to play better w/ friends than w/ siblings... sometimes.

2) Buy a cassette recorder and some tapes. They'll have fun for hours.

3) check out "family fun" magazine online for craft/game/activity ideas.

4) library, local kid's museum, parks-n-rec department activities & classes, BUT....

Like Sunny said, kids need to learn to entertain themselves, stretch their imaginations, and pretend.

And don't forget to pull out your referee shirt and whistle - you'll still need it! LOL

[> My kids pull out moms old clothes and play dress up with babies. Ride scooters, have picnic underr the big oak tree out back. We also have a summer library program. They have guest readers and puppet shows. Some museums offer summer free tours. -- Trish....finger paining, making play dough, baking cookies with each child assigned a task., 21:59:58 06/04/09 Thu [1]
