Subject: Definitely an end of a era. There were so many good Elizabeth Taylor movies - Little Women, Giant, National Velvet, Cleopatra to name a few. She will be missed not only for her acting but also her charity work.
In reply to: mj 's message, "Elibth Taylor passed away early this morning. I know she was ailing and has been in pain for a good part of her most recent years, but part of me feels so sad that she is 'gone too soon'. She seems the last of her kind. RIP, Dame Elizabeth!" on 11:47:51 03/23/11 Wed

[> In my opinion, Elizabeth Taylor was the most beautiful actress ever. I know she was surrounded by scandal when she took up with Richard Burton, but wow....what a BIG romance that was. They were always really glam. I don't like it when people compare "Brangalina." They are just not in the same class. I can't imagine ET not being around. She had some magic few other actresses had. -- Cece ( who was in love with Richard Burton's voice.), 21:59:28 03/23/11 Wed [1]

[> [> I agree about that voice. I read a quote from ET yesterday from when they were married, something like, "Imagine that voice whispering in your ear as you are making love..." Works for me! LOL. The only thing I disagree with you on, and it's very minor, is that I think Grace Kelly very slightly edges out ET on beauty....but only by a hair. They both were STUNNING women in the days before surgical "helps". -- TH, 12:38:50 03/25/11 Fri [1]

[> [> [> GK was beutiful for sure, but in a serene rather than dangerous way. She was perfect for her roles on screen and in life. I just can't see ET as a RL princess. She would have created havoc for Prince Renier...lol. Maybe because I'm a brunette, I've always favoured the dark hair, dark eyes look. ET had to have the most amazing eyes. By all accounts, they were violet. Apparently, she had an unusual genetic thing that gave her double eyelashes. Sheesh, what a problem that must be to live with! -- Cece, 14:17:06 03/30/11 Wed [1]
