Was it just me - or did anyone else find last night's episode floating somewhere between boring and tedious???

It was really hard for me to watch - and the new twist on the black lab tech - he's really grating on my nerves. I thought him much more entertaining when he'd react offput by private life conversations.

Does anyone else prefer this tech the way he was before?

and can anyone explain why they're rotating among a couple of techs?
