The generic name is Iron Dextran and few brands that are availabe in Indian market is Dexferrum Inj, Alferon Inj, Supral Inj. But please be cautious that Iron Dextran is allergic to few people and it is normally administered under medical supervision with a small test dose. Once after finding that the test dose does not create any allergy, it is advised to administer a full dose. Maximum one dose a day is permissible medically (based on Body Mass Index) and one dose a day on every day is fine until the haemoglobin levels come normal.
