hi guys,
sylvie just touched some important points there but i would like u to take a look at the biblical perspect and consiquences if a christian should abide to this act;words or action......there it goes...
Hello,
As this debate goes on, it is still debatable whether homosexuality should be de-criminalized in Cameroon or not. But I also seem to see some acceptance in some quarters that someone may decide to become a homosexual and a Christian at the same time, especially following the ordination of homosexual Priests in the Anglican churches and others.
I think the Bible is crystal clear about homosexuality, talkless of "serving God" as a homosexual. Let's read from the Bible itself mindless of what some "Christian Assemlies" seem to be doing:
Old Testament
Lev 20: 13 " 'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. "
Isaiah 5: 20 "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light
and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. "
New Testament
Rom. 1 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man--and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due."
Therefore, judge for yourself if someone can truly be a Christian and a homosexual at the same time, talkless of serving God as a homosexual priest or whatever.
As I said earlier, you may debate if a nation should or shouldn't de-criminalize a homosexual. But I think it's more than clear when it comes to the church. Are you a Christian, then practise Christianity; know your Bible and stay away from the Devil and his tenets.
God bless you
from someone else
