It is OK if the top scoring girl was also given a gold medal in each case. Because then although the male was competing alongside females, he was not competing against them.
Otherwise it is illegal under Equalities Legislation.
UK Sport accepts that Gymnastics is a ‘Gender Affected” sport, and therefore males competing against females is a “Barrier to female participation” and illegal.
