Like some other posters, I think that Han looks more like Johnny Ryan than Joey D. He has good court sense, didn't get rattled when pressured, has good passing skills (no look), etc. While he did miss 3 shots from long range, he wasn't afraid to shoot. I see him as the point for the future, but wonder when he might take the position away from MVS, who also had a good day.

MOS played a great scrimmage, but more as a forward than a center. He'll have to play with his back to the basket more. Being able to hit the 3 will draw the opposing defender out more, opening up the paint. Looks like we'll be playing a 3 guard set a lot of the time. Geoff was not very impressive for his size and will likely play a backup role (unfortunately). Much improved is Carter, who was most aggressive and might start at the 4 position.

Todd looked good and Bell was less tentative than he had been in past years, which bodes well. I just don't see him as much of a rebounder, which we desperately need. Mamadou played nicely and may eventually get into a starting position by later in the year.

If I had to guess the starters based on the scrimmage, they would be:
MVS
Todd
Han (or Bell)
MOS
Carter

I think your observations are right on. However, I see Bell starting over Han. I think you are correct with Carter, I see Carter starting, which speaks volumes for where we are with post players....
