7. Fairfield (15–15, 11–7)

The Stags face a major rebuilding task after losing MAAC Defensive Player of the Year Deng Gai, the nation’s leader in blocked shots, and dependable guard Tyquawn Goode from a 15–15 team. Senior guard Terrence Todd (15.9 ppg) and forward Dewitt Maxwell (11.3) will carry the scoring load again, with more expected from guard Danny Oglesby, a former prep star in Connecticut. Herbie Allen, a 5'11" freshman, could wind up starting at point guard. Freshman forward Jeremy Reedal can get immediate minutes as well.
