I agree that Quinnipiac has done a great job with thir marketing, gettng a TV contract and building a new facility. However, I have to disagree with Stagophile's comment "Fairfield can learn a lot from the Quinnipiac model on how Alumni Relations", take it from a Quinnipiac grad (class of 85), I haven't received any information from the University regarding the basketball team/tickets etc. I do receive Hockey info, but nothing to date on the basketball squad. So from my perspecitve there are no Alumni Relations taking place (Maybe they know I am a Stag Fan !) Heck, I haven't been to a Quinnipiac Basketball game since Manute Bol visited the QC Campus with UB.

Figured I would share thoughts from a Qunnipiac alums perspective.

Q,

Thanks for the input. I feel that many mid major schools do things a different way and their prioritization of what is importatnt is what makes them unique.

Quinnipiac does focus on Hockey and is trying to do a good job of setting up electronic communication.... but it seems like they have dropped the ball on personal communication.

Fairfield's focus is spending a lot of money on the Arena, Marketing, and playing a top notch OOC schedule. However Radio and TV are taking a backseat. Radio should not, nor should newspaper coverage. But unless the University Athletic Budget increases or fans start pouing money in Lyon Lademan, I don't think we will be spending a lot on TV plus renting the Arena.
