This is a game that we will need Mama because Siena is playing a faster paced game this year and they are no taller than us anyway. Like to see him get more than just 9 minutes and have him combined with Dewitt to see how they play together. If we need more foot speed out there, then Danny has to get the call over Bell or Mvs. Herbie, TT, Danny, Dewitt and Mama is out best running team. Like to see Middleton take advantage of his height even though Siena has Diop as a center off the bench. Hard to imagine we can have a height advantage over anyone. However this game comes down to winning a home game, and Tot has to make sure we win.

The one game Siena struggled in was against Canisius, another vertically challenged team.

Most intriguing match up will be Jordan versus Maxwell, whoever wins that match up, wins the game. Jordan has been shooting the ball very well and can score off the dribble but needs help from the perimeter defense to make it difficult to get the ball into Maxwell on the blocks. If FF is able to the ball into Maxwell easy and often, Jordan is going to be facing foul trouble.

The MAAC's two best freshman (so far) will be on display in this game, Hasbrouck has been on fire the last couple of games ... aggressive and physical, but as a freshman on the road, you don't know what to expect.

Should be a good, entertaining game ... best of luck to the stags.

Q,

Agree that Jordan/Max matchup could be the key. But I don't think that the Stags will just low post Maxwell. It might come down to who sets up Max/Jordan better..... Han or Mensah.

In prior years I think Goode/Kudjo would put a lot of pressure on a Mensah/Fisher/Beers backcourt, but I don't know if we have shown that we can do that this year. Much of that is because we had to help down low because of the Height mismatches. But no height mimatches this game, so no excuse for Stags not covering the arc.... at least I hope not.

The other aspect is Todd has won 2 games for us with brillant 2nd halves.... so Todd's offense is a key, and I wonder if Mensah would be on him..... he is you best guard defender, right?????

the Saints will mix up the defenses a bit: some zone, some 1/2 court or 3/4 court pressure and some man, Mensah would be the guy on Todd, and is Siena's best perimeter defender. His defense is directly related to how effective he is on offense. If he is getting to the rim and finishing, he's a great defensive player. If he struggles on offense, his defense suffers.

With Mensah in the game, Siena hasnt had problems with pressure defense, he has been really really good this season with the ball in his hand. When he is able to get in the lane for either layups or kickouts, Siena is pretty good ...

it all comes down to us stopping them from scoring and we have rarely done that this year. against csun we did, and was that just an anomoly or was it really due to maxwells return and middleton. i am not convince of anything until i can see it, and we do it for a few games in a row. also, breaking any losing streak is a mind game, and our 0-4 at ahy has got to put some added pressure on us. winning 2 in a row would go a long way to restoring my confidence.
