Armed with their roles and their newfound attitude, Fairfield reeled off two seven-game winning streaks and a six-game win streak over the regular season to post a school record for wins (24) and create a new chant in the Red Sea: "Mitch is God."

Great article about two NCAA teams of the mid 1980s! Hopefully this will bring a few more fans out tonight to help remember the past, and perhaps rekindle a spark of hope for the future. Also of note is the listing of employment that the former players and coaches are in today. Quite impressive!
