Subject: Facts are facts

In the current Sagarin rankings we are 257th. I could not find 1 schoolin Conn. ranked lower. Only one conf. school that I saw was ranked lower, that being Canisius. I realize this is not "science" (i.e. polling),but when was the last time we were ranked this low?

I read with interest the accounts of last night's game, lack of defense, uninspired play etc., but what struck me was GuyF's comment about TT not having shown much improvement (I am paraphrasing). Who bears responsibility for this state of affairs?

I've read many posts that claim the investigation hurt recruiting, perhaps so but if you look at the roster we supposedly have some prize recruits over the past 2 years, I find it strange that only "big men" were put off by the investigation. If the investigation dried up players available how did we land Han, Reedal, Allen, Mamadou & Nero? All of these players, as I understand it, were being recruited by other programs.

Excuses aside the bottom line is we have a very imbalanced team that does not match up well against the opposition we play. Perhaps the 2nd semester, with the addition of DM and, hopefully Maxwell & MOS, will bring improvement. Certainly the schedule is easier with mostly Cnf. teams. In any event it can't get much worse... can it?
