Subject: How big are the next few days.....esspecially Friday

Four significant events over next few days:

- On Friday, Women's soccer playing an opening round game in the NCAA Tourney vs Duke in Conneticut. How many time have we played and lost to Duke in NC in all our sports.

- On Friday, Fairfield Hosts the MAAC Tournament on campus as the #1 seed and Top 25 team in the Country. Going to the NCAA's is the ultimate goal.

- On Friday, Women's Volleball looks to clinch 1st place and #1 seed vs Iona

- Hopefully, we get good new from Formbor-Nono, or other recruits that we are after (whoever they may be).

Of the 4 things mentioned above, I am hoping that we go at least 2-for-4. All four would be huge.

Going 2-for-4 would be OK, as long as one is the Men winning the MAAC and going to the NCAAs.I think this should be #1, as not winning after being undefeated in regular season (MAAC) would be a major disappointment. Don't know much about Formbor-Nono, but I assume it would be a major get.
Although beating Duke would be huge, don't think there's much chance of that. And volleyball is still regular season.

Agree that V-ball is only regular season and last in importatnce, but achieving 1st place and clinching #1 seed is critical fo them to win the MAAC Tourney.

Our biggest competitor for Yannick Formbor-Nono signing early with us, is that he probably will not committ early. I am hearing from NJHoops and others that Formbor-Nono might wait till later in the year to decide. I am sure we will stick with him, and hopefully that continued effort will pay off for us. From an early signing period I think Nono is our main guy, so if we don't get him, I do not know if there is another option for the fall.

Women Soccer vs Duke is a longer shot than the Men winning, but I feel good that we are playing at home and it does give us a decent chance. The Men have lot of pressure to win, as I don't think we are a definite for an At-Large bid. And while we have had a great season, the 3 other teams also have had very good seasons. It is truly the biggest game(s) of the weekend.

we just can't beat those Devils in anything....

Let's hope the men can take care of business tonight. Marist awaits the winner, having defeated Loyola 2-1.
