Subject: Monday Morning Quarterback

Been away for most of the weekend, but very disappointing that Volleball lost in the championship, especially when they beat Siena 3-0 during regular season.

Great to hear the Nero Signing was official. He basically sets us up for a good base for a frontline next year with MOS, Nero and Mamadou. If Nero is working on his outside game I think thats great, but I see both Nero and Mamadou as combo forwards that can play either position. We still need a PF/C type.

Jon Han could be MAAC Rookie of the week. We have not had that many frosh over the last 2 years to even compete for this award. With 17 pts and 5 assists, his numbers look pretty good. The only other player that seem to be in contention is Raul Orta of St Peters who is avergaing 18.7ppg and 2.4 assists in three losses over the last 2 weeks. He scored 12 pts in this weeks game.

For MAAC POW transfer Andre Collins of Loyola with 22pts, 3 assists, Charron Fisher and Kevin Downey bothe wioth 20pts, 9rebs, and Jared Jorden with 19pts 4 assists. IMO, its Collins or Fisher that gets it cause their teams won.

I see that Harvard beat Vermont over the weekend. Harvard has the top Ivy frontcourt and it looks like they got some good guard play. Vermont players of interest from local ties Mike Trimboli 17pts, 6 assists (similar stats to Han), but trimboli had 7 turnovers. Colin Mcintosh came off the bench for 8 points 5 rebs, and shooter Robbie Sisca and 6-9 Ryan Shields scored zero in minimal minutes.

Elsberry right on with ESPNU. Not many outlets now. But I think it will grow fast. I called by cable company, and they did not have it but said a lot of people were calling about it. I suggest everyone call their cable company. They are interested in your feedback...... if they react is another thing.

Good article by Mike Puma interviewing Phil Martelli of St Joes. I always thought teh CT Post should have more articles on our opponents that builds game interest. And we do have a lot of good storylines that should have CVT interest.

- Martelli from a High profile Jesuit school
- Providence Big East
- G-town Big East and Providence
- Ruland former Pro and always quotable
- Gonzo always quotable
- Keydren Clark scoring records
