Subject: WOW..... a big turnaround
In reply to: campion109 's message, "Women win 71-58 over Harvard" on 08:37:49pm 11/27/05 Sun,

Harvard was a decent team. Amazing stat was that we held their leading scorer scoreless, and 0-8 from the floor. She was shooting over 60% from the field. Not a great shooting game by the Stags, but looks like team "D" was there.

- Stags had only 3 assists and only 9 turnovers. Sound like some good ballhandling and a lot of 1-on-1 play

- HS Teammates Sabra Wrice and Baendu Lowenthall lead team in scoring with 16 and 14. Baendu gets a double-double with 11. Both are very good 1-on-1 players and talented

- Stephanie Cziria a big game with 13 pts in 18 minutes. She is very inconsistent, but when she is good she is very good. Interesting to watch the development of her.

- No minutes for Cara Murphy and Stephanie Ryan only 13 min. Thats a big switch. So Werts and Lindsay got a lot of PT..... this makes the team an athletic and defensive team. It worked for tonight.

Listened to part of the game. Seems like a slight injury in practice. She was in uniform and available if necessary.

With Murphy out and Ryan playing only 13 minutes that takes away much of our 3 point shooting, but also increases our athleticism and defense with Werts getting more minutes.

Interesting to see if Werts is now the PG over Murphy.

I did not see Shiryll Moores name in the box. Did they mention why she did not play????? Add her to the line-up, and move Lindsay to center and we become very athletic.

Did not hear anything about Moore, but I'm not sure she is ready to play major minutes yet.
I like the line-up much better with Werts at the point and Murphy being the designated shooter off the bench.

Disappointed slightly with Ryan. I was looking for her to be a major contributor. And I know it was only Harvard, but Lowenthal's double double is very impressive. She is big-time.
