Subject: Women Hoops win in Exhibition 73-50

Story below. Did anybody go to the game,and can give us some details????? Here is some observations from Boxscore 9everyone played about 1/2 a game.

- Ryan looked to be the star with 3-4 from the arc, 6 rebs, 4 assits. Thats the consistent effort we need everygame.

- Wrice only 7 points, 1 assist and 2 turnovers. Not the stats from our Possible PG and Leading scorer.

- Lowenthal had 7 pints and 3 boards in only 4 min. Most ipressive was also 3-4 at the FT line. We need a player like her to get to the FT line

- Lindsey had 9 boards and Moore 7 boards..... 2 very athletic players that could start. I would like to see Lindsey start at Center, and focus on boards

- Cara Murphy 3-8 from the arc.... maybe our best 3-point shooter, but I see her as an instant offense and surpise off the bench.

- Cziria only 3 boards in 19 min while Groom had 6 in 10 min. Is this a competitition for a froncourt spot????? hit the board

Would have been difficult to go, since the games was never announced. No publicity at all. Not on schedule or anywhere on FU web site until game recap.

I've been a women's season ticket holder for approx. 15 years and this is one of the few "home games" I have missed in that time. Did they want no one there? Outraged that the game was not announced, esp. to season ticket holders. Why was it such a secret?

As for the game, I agree about Ryan. If this is what she gives every night, a big plus. Lowenthal played only 14 minutes, I assume because of 4 fouls. I have heard she's the real deal. And Podrug DNP. Anyone know why?

I knew nothing about the exhibition either. Usually the Women's hoops is pretty good at publicizing their events.

Podrug was also injured for the Red-White scrimmage, so I assume she is still injured. Nolan in the Women's preview said she expected Podrug to be ready to start the season. Don't know if Podrug has improved, but I think we have a great opportunity to have a quick/athletic combo at PF/C with the L-girls..... Lindsay and Lowenthal, as opposed the the taller/slower team with Podrug and Cziria.

It may have been a closed scrimmage. Thus, no mention of it. They usually play these game with no fans allowed.

Agree, except box score shows - Attendance: 225

Someone knew about it and went. Still angry I missed the game.
