Subject: Fairfield University Retains Leffler Agency For Men's & Women's Basketball

Praise be!!! 24 hours after getting our teeth knocked in by Sacred Heart and WICC, Fairfield quickly rebounds. I am so happy to see that the University recognized that the need for a more effective marketing effort. If we are serious about remaining D1 and want to be treated like a D1 program, then we need to started acting like on. This is a big step in right direction.

Now let's see how we respond to the SHU and WICC deal. We could either sign a deal with the local cable station to broadcast a few games, introduce internet video streaming of games courtsey of the HAM Channel, enhancing the WVOF radio signal or enhancing the WVOF internet broadcasting.

Enhancing WVOF's signal is out of the question. I am a DJ there & they have talked about that. We have 2 stations at 88.7 on the dial. WNHU (1700 watts) & WRHU (5000 watts). We could not increase our wattage without impeeding on the other 2 stations.

[> Internet Broadcasting via HAM Channel??? -- Stagophile, 01:42:19pm 11/10/05 Thu, [1]

Everybody familiar with the HAM Channel? It's the Fairfield University Student Television Station! If not, I suggest you should check out their live feed.

The University made a significant investment in the HAM Channel and the student programming is quite interesting and fun to watch. We have proposed this before, but, wouldn't it be great to broadcast the games on the HAM Channel over the Internet. It would be great for Stags fans and would provide a great opportunity for Communications Majors to gain some practical experience broadcasting a sporting event!!!
