How could I forget Goldman's Princess Bride? I even enjoyed the foreward where he talks about why he had to write this version because Morgenstern's sucked vs. what he'd been told as a kid.

Douglas Adams was such a loss. I put him up there with Jim Henson -- two stunning geniuses working in what could be considered disposable genres; their losses will never be recognized for what they were, imo. I had hopes for Eric Idle's foray into SciFi comedy but was disappointed.

It's been forever since I've read the Myth series, but oh, I loved it. I only have a vague recollection; I still remember a storyline involving ancient gods when Asprin said something along the lines of, "They had, as it were, the whole Set." I don't remember ever laughing so hard at such a dry reference. He fully expected those who understood to enjoy it, but didn't emphasize the line at all. Delivery is everything.

I have so got to see Little Miss Sunshine. I can't believe I've missed it this long.
