To have the light flicker about you no matter how dim
enables the descent to find those trapped within.
Their voices are hollow and declare discontent.
Your light they will swallow, an impulsive event.

Teardrops splash upon the dark stone,
marking the days we have spent alone.
The sun on the sand, taking your hand.
The wind in your hair and you hadn't a care.

The dancing light gives no hint of direction
yet approaches you slowly to make the connection.
The gift comes of compassion, the place matters not.
Not destiny, not fate or the wars that we've fought.

Though you've descended to get there your not going down.

Flip on the light and quit being a clown! : )
