according to tonight's newscast - O'Reilly held another press conference today (very small, it didn't seem nearly the turnout for the first one). Audra was not there. He showed the letter from the National Enquirer and also showed a letter from his law office (which i think is just him - at least his is the only name on the letterhead) in which he mentions something about $3.3M (they didn't show the text of the letter, so I don't know if it was a demand or if it was a notice of some kind). O'Reilly then says that Audra was 'horrified' at the amount because she didn't want any $ from him.
Is that normal? I would think that the $ involved would be something that would have been discussed between them at some point, at least prior to sending out a letter to WKS. And it is quite a difference between $3.3M and "at least" $50K.
They also stated that WKS and his attorney would be holding a press conference tomorrow. Interestingly enough, the newscaster started her story with "well, this was unusual timing on the part of Kevin O'Reilly..." and they talked about him trying to do rumor control.
I think it makes him look desperate. I would at least wait for WKS & his attorney to hold a press conference and then maybe have another press conference to refute what they said. If he keeps holding press conferences like this, pretty soon no one except his mother is going to show up. Or pay attention.
