True story! I found this sled in a barn, It's all original, even has the dealer sticker on the hood, seat has some rips, and the hood has some fine spider cracks, and the gas tank is cracked. This is an awesome original sled. 300 Hirth motor. I ran it a few years ago and now it's just sitting in my barn. So, It's time someone restored it and gave it the attention it deserves. It has a JLO 297cc engine that runs well.
The track is in great condition.

I am looking to sell a 1967 340 John Deere snowmobile. It has a new rebuilt motor, we could not get the carbs set right and it fouls the plugs. I do not know for sure what it is worth but it is in excellant shape and I belive it is worth about $3,000.00. I am located in Williston, North Dakota.

I am the original owner of a 1978 everest 440e. the yellow top patch seat and foam have long given up, the rest of the machine is in very good condition, and right now I am looking for a complete replacementseat. In 1999, the dealership was sold. My great uncle (Doug Hofland) used to race back in the 70\'s and still had all of his trophies.

When the dealership sold in 1999, I was told by my great aunt that an arctic cat collector (NOT Andy Avelis) came up to the dealer and was given all of my great uncle\'s trophies.

i have a 1961 suzuki ts 90 honcho motor has something lodged in bottom but turns hard so i know itll run ran all last year till i went to start it and it didnt kick and i have a 1981 suzuki gs 450 11,000 miles i was trying to put a new head cover seal on and a new starter and my nephew hit the start button wen i had the timeing chain adjuster out and now wen motor cranks over it clicks so its been sitting in my garage since but im just looking for a four wheeler or a three wheeler for both i know both run fine just need some tinkering and work n kids i just dont have enough time for them so im just tryin to get somethin that i can go trail rideing with the kids i got trails every where so whoevers interested give me a call at 1-207-843-1035 or reach me at my email at traviskepner@yahoo.com thank you

Ontario Classic Snowmobile Permit 2009/2010
Just in case you have not heard the Classic Trail Permit has been given final approval and is now available. Permit is good for sleds 15 years or older and you must contact a District office not the local club to purchase one. Permits will cost 1/2 of the full price of a regular permit (not 1/2 of the "early bird" price), so it will cost $125.

The GOOD -
- 293 Sachs Single motor - Runs - Rebuilt carb (new diaphragm kit) - New fuel lines - Has motor cover/console in good shape - Chassis seems solid and fairly straight
- Good muffler - Fair track - Bogies are decent

The Bad -
- Missing one bogie wheel - No Windsheild - Needs a proper seat - Slight damage to the hood - mainly around the one hood hinge - Rusty bumper and handle bars - Clutch guard is awol (not sure it ever had one by the looks of it). - Fuel tank neck in broken and will need to be plastic welded or replace tank.

For Sale 1971 Alouette GT36 with 436 Kohler and DUAL Carbs.

Hood is not the greatest. Chassis is quite rusty in the belly pan area, but solid under seat. Rear axle is out of bearing cup on one side. One ski leg is broken and one steering arm is damaged.

Motor was seized, but I have got it freed up with a good soaking. No spark.

$300 OBO

I went to have a look at the Moto-ski that listed on the acscc.com website. Not my cup of tea, or a project that I wish to get into, but well worth the price!
Here's my description:
The sled is quite solid. Chassis is very good (belly dent free), with some surface rust, and rust on top of tunnel (no rust through). Track is useable, hood has been painted, but is pretty good. All gauges and vents are there and in good condition. Gas tank and snow flap look perfect. Chaincase broken.JLO Motor apart, but all there (needs one piston and rings), crank turns smoothly and cylinders look good. Says 438 on the head, but Type 399 on crankcase. Seat is recovered, but foam looks good. All in all, LOTS of good parts, or a solid start on a project for the Moto-ski afficianado!

As stated, 1972 A/C Panther 292 one-lunger engine in good shape. This sled is missing a windshield, and has a small crack in the glove box, the seat is not perfect by any means, but does the job. Engine fires right up, this was a barn find this past fall and the motor was freshened up and runs great! Last time registered was in 1977 in WI. Low miles, very snappy for a vintage sled, sounds great! Belly pan is in good shape, as well as the tunnel. Skis are in good shape, may need a paint job to look great, but structurally good. Track is in good shape and has the rare 'Cat Claws' on it as well.
Runs and moves great. Great candidate for a restoration project, just don't have the time.

All Original - Runs good. You will be hard pressed to find one nicer.

The good -

Starts and runs beautifully
No major rust issues
One of the straightest chassis I have seen in years
solid muffler
very good chrome

The bad -
1) corner of backrest pad has been mouse chewed
2) some small holes in side of seat.
3) some rust in tank - not too bad.
4) Small hole in windsheild
5) Trim missing from windsheild
6) Missing airbox emblem.

I have a 1974 SS ELAN 294 that I restored and want to sell. New paint ,decals,seat cover and windshield.Sled is complete along with tool box and tools. Looks brand new. Runs good ,have a slight carb adjustment issue that I have figured out now.The console does have a crack ,I couldn't find one in the last month to replace it.Lights work, track has a couple more seasons in it.Placed 3rd in the 1971-1978 restored class at the Waconia,Mn Vintage show on Feb 1st with this Elan. Hood is junk. No Motor. No Fuel Tank.
Skis are broke.

399 Rotax - Manual Start - Runs good as motor has been all gone through and checked out.

Track is fair.

Has 72 Olympique hood and backrest. Hood has no windsheild and a few cracks.

Seat is recovered.

Good sled for Vintage SnowCross boogie class perhaps.

Fiberglass in good shape. Tunnel is good - needs a little work.

Seat needs recovered. 340 Liquid Cooled Motor.

Not running at the moment as I have not had a chance to get to it. Previous owner had it apart to change track and never finished putting it back together - needs to have chain case assembly finished, pipes put back on and clutch guard.

I'm currently in the process of building a elan sled. I have two motors a 250 single and a 250twin and I'm wondering what the torque and horsepower of the various motors the elan came with over the years and which give the better performance the tillotson or the mikuni carburator. Is the ss version a 300 single or twin and what was its hp and torque?

The drive shaft, complete with sprockets,( not the ones in the chaincase), the flange bearing/housing on the right supporting the shaft, the chaincase cover. I am trying to get my sled running again. What I need is a C.D.I. box (Polar Fire) I have found new ones that have been discontinued and I have found ones without the coils but what I need is the coil see the wire on one side of mine broke off right at the coil and I don't know how hot I can get it to connect a new wire. thought I could just replace it ( HA HA HA HA) any ideas thanks.

i have a 1978 polaris tx 440 it runs but needs some work to drive, cluch needs rebuilt, so does recoil i have all th parts for it,the right ski needs fixed it wont turn , the the track is mission 5 cleats, the windshield is mission, the seat has rips in it ,new paint black and silver, engine was rebuilt in 04, 350$ obo or will trade for a other sled,quad,dirtbike ect... email me at devon_sattler@yahoo.com

A project for someone with more time and expertise than me! Missing a few things, but definitely restorable!
The good: solid chassis, great sled body, nice track bands, motor turns over smoothly with compression, interesting bracket for a snowplow(?), original owners manual, been inside for the last few years (but was outside for(?) before that)
The not so good: a few dings in body, 3 missing/broken cleats, brake handle broken, one broken ski (but runner and foot rest there, backrest off and rotten, but there; missing: recoil, chain, brake mechanism...
Asking $750. OBO

It's in Fergus, but I will be going to North Bay on the weekend of Jan.24th and can bring it along in that direction if anyone commits to it.
