I have a vintage 1971 Elan Ski-Doo for sale. 250cc's. Very good condition. Never been repainted or touched up. A couple years ago I put on a new gas tank, new seat-(still looks like new), and bogie wheels. Also last year I put on a good used track. She has the original yellow tint windshield yet with no cracks (very good shape). Runs like a top! Just get on and go. This is a hard to find little sled. Especially running. If real interested make me your best offer. I can email pictures if needed.

Hi... I have a 1969 Evinrude Skeeter, a 1970 Evinrude Skeeter, and a 1970 Johnson Skee-Horse for sale. All sleds have electric start, wide track, and reverse. The 1969 and 1970 Evinrude Skeeters are runnable, as is. The 1970 Johnson Skee-Horse needs a litle work. I also have another 1970 Evinrudefor either parts, or fix... It needs new gas hose, a windshield, and the seat recovered. I also have two Johnson Skee-Horse Light Track Snowmobiles, as well. I also have three Evinrude Bobcat Snowmobiles, and one is a SS. Also. I have two 1973-74 Evinrude Skimmer Snowmobiles... One has bogie suspension, the other has slide suspension. I am located at W950 Reshel Road Pittsville, Wisconsin 54466. Thank you. Dan.

hi guys i need some insight into a hirth ID problem, for years I believed I had a 172R 650cc not a 634cc today I remved thehead and checked tthe bore it is 3.056inches or if my conversation is right it is 1.397 mm. Both of my books tell me a 172r has a 3.071 bore, I know this is very near what I have is there a another way to tell no motor marking are to be found.

1970 Arctic Cat Panther 440 Snowmobile FOR SALE

Comes with all paper work (including registration and ownership) and all original literature (including owner's manual). Runs like a champ. All original. Un-restored. Needs nothing to hit the trails. Good track.
Has had modification to hood and console via some holes drilled in them for extra air flow(?).
Asking $760 Or Best Offer for this machine you can hit the trails with.

My sons and I also replaced all seals in the sleds motor, new plug, also rebuilt carb.

The jug, head and crank show very little wear.

The tunnel, track, boggies and boady are also in good shape.

Hello maybe someone can help me with some info as to what direction to take .....

I have two Artic Cat el tigre free air snowmobiles, they both have the Kawasaki engines with dual mikuni carburetors..

one is a 1973 400cc this one Doug Hemming won the Kawartha cup with it in 1973 and I bought it off him on the spot, it has only 1000 miles on it

the other one is a 1974 295cc machine, it has a new track and new skis

Both these models 295cc & 400cc were wining everything in their classes........the 340cc & 440cc models were losing everything.

Anyway they are still sitting in my heated garage and I was thinking they may be at the collector stage in value now, so if there is any info or direction anyone can give me with regard to selling these two machines, any help or info would be greatly appreciated....or even someone who I could speak to.

Hi,

I have a 1971 Ski doo Elan for sale in very good condition for the year, I picked it up from a 79 yr old man that bought it when it was 2 years old, I also have 2 old single cyl Rotax engines, I think one is a 1967 & the other is of the same vintage & both where running when removed years ago, one comes with exhaust & clutch & both have carbs. True story! I found this sled in a barn, It's all original, even has the dealer sticker on the hood, seat has some rips, and the hood has some fine spider cracks, and the gas tank is cracked. This is an awesome original sled. 300 Hirth motor. I ran it a few years ago and now it's just sitting in my barn. So, It's time someone restored it and gave it the attention it deserves. I am looking for an external coil for a 77 Lynx 2000S. It is a one jug, Suzuki engine and the sled was made 11/77. Not having much luck. Sled is in great condition and just needs the coil to run. Thanks for any help!

The track is in great condition.

Just in case you have not heard the Classic Trail Permit has been given final approval and is now available. Permit is good for sleds 15 years or older and you must contact a District office not the local club to purchase one. Permits will cost 1/2 of the full price of a regular permit (not 1/2 of the "early bird" price), so it will cost $125.

1970 Alouette XL20 Snowmobile FOR SALE

Asking $480 Or Best Offer

The GOOD -
- 293 Sachs Single motor - Runs - Rebuilt carb (new diaphragm kit) - New fuel lines - Has motor cover/console in good shape - Chassis seems solid and fairly straight
- Good muffler - Fair track - Bogies are decent

The Bad -
- Missing one bogie wheel - No Windsheild - Needs a proper seat - Slight damage to the hood - mainly around the one hood hinge - Rusty bumper and handle bars - Clutch guard is awol (not sure it ever had one by the looks of it). - Fuel tank neck in broken and will need to be plastic welded or replace tank.

For Sale 1971 Alouette GT36 with 436 Kohler and DUAL Carbs.

Hood is not the greatest. Chassis is quite rusty in the belly pan area, but solid under seat. Rear axle is out of bearing cup on one side. One ski leg is broken and one steering arm is damaged.

Motor was seized, but I have got it freed up with a good soaking. No spark.

I went to have a look at the Moto-ski that listed on the acscc.com website. Not my cup of tea, or a project that I wish to get into, but well worth the price!
Here's my description:
The sled is quite solid. Chassis is very good (belly dent free), with some surface rust, and rust on top of tunnel (no rust through). Track is useable, hood has been painted, but is pretty good. All gauges and vents are there and in good condition. Gas tank and snow flap look perfect. Chaincase broken.JLO Motor apart, but all there (needs one piston and rings), crank turns smoothly and cylinders look good. Says 438 on the head, but Type 399 on crankcase. Seat is recovered, but foam looks good. All in all, LOTS of good parts, or a solid start on a project for the Moto-ski afficianado!

1971 Rotax 335 - Good spark, runs decent - $180 -

1970-ish Rotax 299 with 335 head - runs good, needs some repair on muffler - $150 -

1972 Rotax 335 - No spark at the moment - but turns over good and complete - $130 -

1971 Rotax 300 - No spark at the moment - but turns over good and complete - $130 -

All are suitable for Ski-doo Olympique Snowmobiles of that vintage. Or build a Monster Elan.

Plus parts and pieces for old Rotax motors. Have a few partial vintage 247 Rotax motors about.

As stated, 1972 A/C Panther 292 one-lunger engine in good shape. This sled is missing a windshield, and has a small crack in the glove box, the seat is not perfect by any means, but does the job. Engine fires right up, this was a barn find this past fall and the motor was freshened up and runs great! Last time registered was in 1977 in WI. Low miles, very snappy for a vintage sled, sounds great! Belly pan is in good shape, as well as the tunnel. Skis are in good shape, may need a paint job to look great, but structurally good. Track is in good shape and has the rare 'Cat Claws' on it as well.
Runs and moves great. Great candidate for a restoration project, just don't have the time.

All Original - Runs good. You will be hard pressed to find one nicer.

The good -

Starts and runs beautifully
No major rust issues
One of the straightest chassis I have seen in years
solid muffler
very good chrome

The bad -
1) corner of backrest pad has been mouse chewed
2) some small holes in side of seat.
3) some rust in tank - not too bad.
4) Small hole in windsheild
5) Trim missing from windsheild
6) Missing airbox emblem.

I have a 1972 moto ski cadet that is in original condition. It has seen snow about six times. Everything on it is original even the leather tool pouch. Has been stored in barn since 1976. Lots of compression, may need to flush carb and gas tank to clean.

Looking for the 4 exhaust springs connecting the twin pipes to the heads, the 2 springs that hold the exhaust can into it's bracket and the small spring that holds one of the pipes in the corner support.
