It sounds like the carb could be cleaned up,however; the points and condenser are behind the recoil starter. Remove recoil and starter cup. Then Insert length of reciol rope in cylinder so magneto nut and magneto can be removed. (or use special tool if you have one) Check that wire on condenser is still attached. Sometimes the solder breaks off. If so just re-solder. Check your points by looking to see if they are pitted or not flat. They need as much contact with each other as possible to make good spark. Then check/set the gap with a feeler gauge with points open Don't forget to torque magneto nut!
