Subject: no spark

 Have an 87 Alpine 503E with no spark. New coil-nojoy. There is a 3pin plug from the engine case to the CDI. I measure 29+ volts AC from the center pin to either side pin. Is this correct? Do I need a new CDI? Any ideas will help. Bob
